We are currently seeking an Global Pricing Lead (all genders), to be based in Zurich or Boston.

ROLE OBJECTIVE

Lead Global Pricing Strategies and pricing decisions across the portfolio to enable patient access while maximizing the value of Takeda products. Infuses pricing excellence and a value-based mindset throughout all strategic pricing activities

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develop, review, and execute pricing strategies for assigned areas.

2. Responsible for ensuring alignment with program and brand strategies to optimize brand value and market access.

3. Collaborate on pricing research with other global functions and assigned countries/regions (as needed).

4. Identify competitive trends, synthesize competitor price information (including biosimilars and generics), and trigger actions as required.

5. Collaborate with key stakeholders for the global launch planning process for assigned areas to maximize the asset/portfolio value.

6. Develop global launch pricing guidance including Lifecycle Management, and LOE strategy to maximize the asset/portfolio value in close partnership with Global, Regional, and country stakeholders.

7. Provide contributions to the development of innovative pricing strategies, and value-based contracts for pipeline products (close launch products) based on comprehensive assessments of value potential and recommend adaptations where appropriate.

8. Provide input, as needed, into the price assessment of early-stage products and due diligence projects to validate the price, dosing, endpoint, and comparator selection from a price implementation and realization point of view.

9. Be an expert on key global countries and share knowledge regarding major developments in these markets to contribute and shape the decision-making of pricing strategies for allocated products.

10. Cultivate a value-based mindset in all stakeholder interactions.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree required, Master’s and/or PhD in Healthcare discipline or Business preferred

  • 8-10 years of pharmaceutical experience with a strong preference of direct experience in international pricing and reimbursement

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in global pricing or market access role required with LoC experience preferred

  • Experience in establishing and managing effective business processes

  • Ensures timely engagement and alignment of key stakeholders and Senior Leadership endorsement of key pricing decisions.
