Our Commercial Leadership Development Program (CLDP) is committed to building diverse future leaders with commercial competencies and leadership skills that allow them to successfully drive superior business results in a complex global healthcare environment. CLDP Associates gain valuable experience across the Commercial organization through three rotational assignments geared towards broadening their understanding of the business while enhancing management and leadership skills.

I had tremendous support from my manager, the overall Neruoscience A&I team, my mentors, and the greater Takeda commercial organization — so much so that I had the confidence and support to propose my own projects involving collaborations with other business units and also led a fun team building trivia event!

Internship Program

First-year MBA students have the opportunity to join the CLDP Internship where they will receive the most comprehensible pharmaceutical product management experience possible through a variety of activities under the supervision of a commercial leader at Takeda. At the completion of the internship, Summer Associate will have a thorough understanding of marketing and sales in the pharmaceutical industry

Rotational Programs - 3 Years

  • Rotation 1: Sales Strategy (9 months)
  • Rotation 2 & 3: 9-12 month rotations in either Managed Markets, Analytics, Product Marketing, Patient Services, US Public Affairs, Commercial Operations dependent upon business needs and CLDP Associate’s interest.

Our program enables broad exposure to various experiences through 3 rotational assignments, enabling associates to broaden their understanding of the business while enhancing their management and leadership skills. We are proud to say that all our roles are real jobs that provide hands-on experience in a real commercial environment.

Post-Rotational Programs

Upon completion of all rotations, our CLDP Associates have the opportunity to move into a full-time role that is best aligned to individual skill sets, competencies, and interests. We will provide support in identifying a new role within the commercial organization that is in alignment with your experience, skills, interest, and of course, business needs. Previous Associates have transitioned into permanent roles such as:

  • Associate Director HCP Marketing, GIBU
  • Global Brand Lead HCP Marketing Senior Product Manager GPLS
  • Senior Product Manager, GIBU
  • Senior Product Manager, Oncology
