What initially attracted you to Takeda? Why did you join the organization?

I was initially hired as part of a graduate program, rotating across different functions in a manufacturing site. This allowed me to get involved in end to end (E2E) aspects of the pharmaceutical industry.

I was exposed to diverse teams and global projects for lifecycle management initiatives, where I was able to contribute and even lead sub-teams.

I have been passionate about life sciences and healthcare since I was a child and I felt that this company was the right place to be, experiencing the real pharma world, close to the operations, where the magic of pharmaceutical production happens.

I was able to make solid connections and quickly develop a deep understanding of the industry in its many forms.

What made you want to come back to Takeda and stay?

I was re-hired by a company that I have always considered one of the most interesting and promising companies in the pharmaceutical world. I wanted to be back to put into practice the many learnings and results that I achieved in my experiences outside of the company.

Working here allows me to be part of innovation and change; I have always been drawn to the company's commitment to improving patients' lives. Additionally, the supportive and collaborative work environment has made it an easy decision for me to stay and contribute to the company's purpose.

I am excited to continue my career here and to be a part of the innovative and transformative work that we are known for.

Can you share how external experiences enhanced your skills, providing a significant boost to your career at Takeda?

Through my experience outside, I was able to see multiple aspects of the pharmaceutical industry, from contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) and client management for external manufacturing to analytical and pharmaceutical development for innovative and biosimilar medicines to the CMC Lead experience which gave me the global attitude that I have also brought to my current role.

This broadened perspective has allowed me to bring valuable insights and knowledge to my work, enabling me to approach challenges with a more holistic understanding of the pharmaceutical industry.

Additionally, the exposure to different working environments and cultures has enhanced my adaptability and communication and interpersonal skills, which are essential in a global company.

I bring several years of technical knowledge and cross-functional negotiation and project management. Overall, my external experiences have significantly contributed to my career growth and success.

What about Takeda’s culture makes you feel like you belong?

The focus and priority are given to a simple set of values and pillars to which I feel totally aligned. The emphasis on patient-centricity, integrity, and fairness resonates with me deeply, and I am proud to be part of a company that upholds such principles.

Additionally, the diverse and inclusive environment makes me feel valued and respected, further solidifying my connection to the company's culture. I see these values lived by many colleagues around me every day.

Describe your ongoing development journey within Takeda after returning, and how it aligns with your career aspirations.

Since day one I had the chance to draft my development plan towards a more strategic role, which is what I am looking forward to achieving in the next years.

The company is giving me the tools and techniques to reach this goal by providing insightful opportunities such as a mentorship program, HBA ambassador program, broad platforms for training, stretch assignments and shadow coaching opportunities as well as a constant dialogue with managers, peers and stakeholders to define the best path towards professional and personal development.

Moreover, my continuous development has allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory requirements, and market trends. This knowledge has not only enhanced my skills and expertise but has also aligned with my career aspirations.
