The Innovation Capability Center (ICC) is an organization focused on delivering innovative solutions utilizing primarily our internal capabilities to enable Takeda's data and digital transformation and build future skills in-house. 

The ICC in Bratislava, Slovakia was established in 2021 as the first ICC, aimed at enhancing our internal data and digital capabilities. Currently, it accommodates over 370 professionals who are dedicated to delivering digital solutions worldwide.  

Our commitment lies in providing an exceptional employee experience, and as a result, ICC Slovakia has been honored as a TOP employer in Slovakia in 2024 and the Most attractive IT Employer in 2022. Furthermore, it has fostered strong collaborations with local ecosystem partners, including Hlavné mesto Bratislava, the Japanese embassy, Slovak Technical University, AjTyvIT, and many more. 

Our Bratislava office has received the Excellent BREEAM certification, one of the highest accreditations that can be awarded to a project/building/office. This certification demonstrates our commitment to environmental sustainability and wellbeing of our employees.

The ICC Slovakia is located Pradiaren-1900, a historic building - a revitalized former spinning mill and engine house of the Thread factory. The building’s prime location is a dominant element of the Zwirn neighborhood and can be easily accessed by both public and individual transportation. We have facilities to accommodate bicycle transport by offering indoor bike parking along with an onsite bike shop. 

At ICC Bratislava, we prioritize employee experience by offering a wide range of initiatives. These include workshops focused on psychological safety, opportunities tailored for working mothers, and initiatives that promote the value of diversity. We also host culture days, health days, SWAP event and provide various sport opportunities to foster team connections. We actively engage in volunteering activities, aligning with our commitment to the planet, such as participating in Nase Mesto and trees planting initiatives or supporting green ways of transportation.

In Bratislava, Slovakia, we actively collaborate with the local ecosystem in impactful ways. For instance, as a part of the 10.000 trees initiative, we have collaborated with the city of Bratislava, supporting the planting of trees, including Japanese Sakura Kanzan trees, in Freedom Square. We also collaborate with the Slovak Technical University, where our employees frequently share technology insights with the students. Furthermore, we foster partnerships with non-profit organizations, associations, and foundations such as AjTyvIT, Minitech MBA, Data Science Academy, and Python.sk. Our involvement extends to participating in conferences, job fairs, and engaging with student initiatives like IASTE, Unispace, Nexteria and Night of Chances.
