Describe an experience where you navigated diverse roles at Takeda. How did it broaden your skills?​

In 2021, I had the opportunity to serve as our site's representative on a communications call. This was a 2-hour/month commitment.

This experience allowed me to expand my skills in communication, relationship building, and strategic planning. I learned how to effectively convey complex information to a diverse audience and build strong connections with colleagues from different departments.

Additionally, it honed my ability to think strategically about how to align communications with business objectives. Today I am in a full-time communications role supporting our 400-person site.

Overall, navigating diverse roles at Takeda has given me a well-rounded skill set that prepared me for my current role and future career moves.

How do you show resilience and adaptability in Takeda's dynamic environment?​

When working on a project, I identify the 1-2 mission-critical decisions. By identifying these upfront, I am able to adapt and pivot quickly when necessary, showing resilience in the face of changing circumstances.

Additionally, I actively seek feedback and input from stakeholders to ensure that I am constantly adapting and evolving in response to the dynamic environment at Takeda.

This proactive approach allows me to demonstrate my ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment, contributing to the success of the team and the organization.

Share an example of moving between functions at Takeda. What skills did you gain or transfer?​

In 2020, I transitioned from our Plasma Derived Therapies business unit to our Biologics unit. I was able to bring my skills in project management and cross-functional collaboration, which allowed me to effectively adapt to the new role.

This transition helped me broaden my expertise and provided me with a more holistic view of the pharmaceutical industry.

With each move, I develop a stronger network within the company and expand my knowledge of therapeutic areas.

This move expanded my skill set and provided me with a more well-rounded perspective, enhancing my ability to contribute to Takeda's overall mission and goals.

Can you highlight a project where your role exploration directly benefited Takeda?​

In 2023, I leveraged my skills in training, project management and digital fluency to implement Virtual Reality training in our manufacturing department.

My role exploration allowed me to strategically deploy cleanroom training, and by taking on this project, I was able to drive positive results for Takeda.

This experience has inspired me to continue seeking out new opportunities for role exploration and development, as I have seen firsthand the direct benefits it can bring to the company.

I am committed to expanding my skill set and taking on new challenges that will contribute to the growth and success of Takeda.

How do you collaborate with colleagues from various areas to drive innovation at Takeda?​

I believe diverse perspectives result in better outcomes. When you bring together colleagues from different areas, you can tap into a wide range of expertise and insights.

By fostering an environment of open communication and collaboration, we can leverage our collective strengths to drive innovation. This often involves cross-functional meetings, brainstorming sessions, and joint projects to explore new ideas and approaches.
