We must accelerate creating the workplace and the workforce of the future to generate the impact that we know Takeda can make. Data, Digital, and Technology (DD&T) is at the heart of that transformation.

In recent years, we have experienced incredible changes in our society, probably the greatest transformation in generations. Digital technology will help Takeda become the most trusted, science-driven, digital, biopharmaceutical company - where we amplify our impact on patients and society by innovating faster, outpacing technological and industry change, and creating greater resilience. 

DD&T developed a digital transformation roadmap spanning three horizons to create a future-ready organization where all employees are digital leaders who will enable this transformation. To create a resilient, sustainable organization, we’re moving from a “digital strategy” towards a "business strategy for a digital world."

Insights & Analytics 

We are creating a customer 360° view to create better insights and personalization for our Patients, HCPs, Donors, and Employees. To facilitate this, we have established enterprise data domains, developed a comprehensive data sourcing strategy, established rigorous data quality and data governance policies, and are piloting the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to many of our business processes and value chains. 

Digital Fluency & Adoption 

The rate of change in our industry has enormous implications for the future of our organization. We must prepare ourselves to become digital leaders, to ensure that we can successfully undertake this transformation. To this end, we have established the Digital Academy, with best-in-class learning programs, and are fostering the development of agile working and design thinking across Takeda, in order to cultivate internal practitioners to lead and sustain this transformation. 

Enterprise Platforms & Services 

To support the business strategy and the digital agenda across all BUs, we build data and digital solutions that are affordable, scalable, and reusable, through the adoption of enterprise platforms and services. We are developing the workplace of the future where technology increases our proficiency, effectiveness, and collaboration. We will shift to measure outcome and customer satisfaction, and we will adopt a mindset of continuous improvement, based on customer feedback and data.
