Supporting Whole-Family Health For Working Parents And Caregivers

When you join our team, you help us to make history, and we want to be part of your future. That’s why we take great care in selecting our employee benefits. “We examine industry data and listen to employees to ensure our portfolio is relevant, valuable and meets the growing needs of employees and their families,” says Matt Regan, Head of U.S. Benefits. From tapping into our reimbursement programs to pursue an advanced degree or even start a family, we are on this adventure with you during some of life’s milestone moments. Because here, we share a vision of the future where healthcare is more accessible, inclusive, sustainable and affordable for patients and our people.

We recently added Maven – a new free benefit – in efforts to expand our robust collection of benefits for family forming and reproductive health. As the world’s largest virtual clinic for women and families, Maven provides guidance and educational resources across four core programs to support you on your path to:

  • Fertility and family building
  • Maternity and newborn care
  • Parenting and pediatrics
  • Menopause or low-testosterone

And while Maven does not replace your medical provider, its team of clinical and non-clinical Care Advocates can provide referrals when you need them, as well as assistance in finding adoption and surrogacy agencies – including those who specialize in LGBTQ+ families. Takeda employees – and their spouse or domestic partner – can enroll in Maven at no cost, and do not have to be enrolled in a Takeda-sponsored medial plan to participate.

Maven is just one way in which we support whole-family health. In pursuit of our purpose, we put people first, and we’re proud to have received top ten recognition on Seramount’s ‘100 Best Companies’ list, which highlights companies that set the standard for inclusive workplaces for parents and caregivers. The benefits that support whole-family health that were evaluated by Seramount include: paid bonding leave, subsidized child and family care, bereavement leave, fertility assistance, adoption and surrogacy support and mental health care.

Our benefits and resources help parents and caregivers provide the best possible support for the people we love most.

Andrew Kaplan, SVP, U.S. Public Affairs and Executive Co-sponsor of Takeda’s Parents and Caregivers resource group (PACT)

Through PACT’s support, we drive forward our mission in creating better health and a brighter future through the implementation of progressive policies and programs in support of working parents and caregivers. “We’re proud to be Takeda’s ears and eyes regarding family-related benefits and resources our employees want the most,” says Brandon Monk, SVP, Head of Gastroenterology and Executive Co-sponsor of PACT.

This marks our 12th time on Seramount’s list, and our second consecutive year in the top ten. Guided by each other – and data-driven insights – we can make awareness of our benefits, and the support that we offer, go even further to change our impact for the better.
