About the role

Are you passionate about developing talent and fostering a culture of lifelong learning across the enterprise?

As the Learning & Development Manager, Oceania at Takeda, you will evolve and lead the learning and development strategy to empower our customer facing and full enterprise teams to excel and deliver on business priorities.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultural Shift: Facilitate a mindset shift to embrace lifelong learning, the transition to skills-based organisation and the engagement with our digital learning platform.
  • Customer Engagement: Elevate the customer engagement competency of our customer facing teams through targeted training and coaching initiatives.
  • Strategy Development: Collaborate with local and global stakeholders to evolve and deliver the learning and development strategy in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Needs Analysis: Conduct an organisational learning needs analysis to identify priority skills for capability uplift.
  • Training Initiatives: Design, facilitate, measure, and continuously improve training initiatives. Leverage global resources.
  • Onboarding: Deliver the onboarding of new employees
  • Extended People Leader Development: Co-design and facilitate leadership workshops to hone the capabilities of our leaders.
  • Communication: Create engaging communication campaigns to share initiatives and information transparently.
  • Coaching: Coach leaders to build team effectiveness and personal development plans.

What we’re seeking:

  • Experience: At least 10 years in Learning & Development, with experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a high-compliance environment with customer facing teams.
  • Innovative Mindset: Ability to leverage modern adult learning methods to create capability programs that are as effective as they are engaging. You are a curious learner and proactively build your own levels of digital literacy and dexterity.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Thrive in a matrix organisation, building strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Authentic Leadership: Natural influencer and storyteller with the ability to inspire and coach people at all levels.
  • Strategic Toolset: Structured approach to project management, problem-solving, and change leadership.
  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in an organisational development, learning or business discipline.
