Can you share how you've achieved deep expertise in your field and any recognition you've received for it?
Prior to joining Takeda, I dedicated a decade to developing automated visual inspection (AVI) technologies from scratch. This experience gave me the privilege of going through the highs and lows and witnessing the whole innovation cycle: from first ideas to qualified good manufacturing practice (GMP) AVI systems.
Through hands-on experience, I was able to experiment and learn from each failure, which proved to be incredibly valuable in gaining the level of detail required to fully understand the technology and assist the network on various topics.
Open-mindedness helped me learn from failures and curiosity let me overcome various challenges by applying insights from multiple disciplines. I achieved deep expertise in AVI by embracing innovation and learning from successes, and most of all, from failures.
I enjoy sharing my knowledge about AVI technology with various functions across the globe to elevate its use in our network, while continuously learning from new use cases and environments.
I am driven by the network's approach to support, especially on challenging and unsolved tasks, which further motivates me to make a difference for our network.
How do you serve as a go-to resource for insights and advice, especially when guiding colleagues and peers?
Tech is my jam! I am a tech enthusiast always striving to stay updated with the latest trends. Sharing this knowledge is an essential part of my work. I love engaging in open and lively discussions with colleagues and tech gurus from the industry to keep our knowledge current.
Whether it's exchanging information on the latest tech innovation or joining in to navigate complex challenges, I'm always happy to share my expertise and support. It often leads to interesting discussions in uncharted territories which help to gather new insights and create innovative solutions.
By being approachable and open to hearing people’s opinions, I succeed in being an insightful resource for my peers and team. I believe in networking and building relationships with others, which pushes us to greater heights, learning from each other and growing together.
Could you provide an example of how your innovative solutions have influenced strategies at Takeda?
Our portfolio contains many products that present unique challenges to visual inspection. By leveraging deep expertise and innovation management, I successfully led, motivated, and collaborated with the team to develop automated solutions for these complex products.
With some of these products, we will be even the first in the market to automate the inspection process, giving us a competitive advantage. In a nutshell, AVI technology for such complex products represents a game changer for our supply chain, leading to significant cost efficiency and improved process reliability.
What steps have you taken to continually enhance your expertise and thought leadership within your field?
In my journey of professional growth, I have honed my ability to interact and educate across various management levels up to the TET level. This skill has been instrumental in ensuring that our senior leaders are well-equipped to make informed decisions.
My field of expertise has served as a compass, guiding me through the intricate maze of corporate communication. It has allowed me to distill complex concepts into digestible information, tailored to the understanding of different audiences.
As I continue to navigate this labyrinth, I am constantly working on refining my influencing skills. The goal is not just to communicate but to inspire, to persuade, and to foster a culture of knowledge-driven decision making.
The journey is ongoing, the learning never stops, and with each interaction, I strive to make complex messages more accessible and understandable.
Share a specific instance where your subject mastery and guiding authority led to significant positive outcomes for a project or initiative at Takeda.
In FY2023, we had the opportunity to accelerate AVI implementation within the network through a Must-Win initiative. Leading engineering design studies and utilizing my specialized knowledge and the team diverse background helped to complete the design phases.
This not only boosted confidence in investment decisions, but also ensured future readiness to utilize cutting-edge technologies such as AI. It also played a pivotal role to upskilling the network with the adequate know-how to unleash the full potential of this exciting technology.
