We are currently seeking for a Market Access Manager to be based in our local country organization in Prague.

OBJECTIVES:

The primary objective is to facilitate and achieve optimal patient access to Takeda innovative medicines. The responsibility covers the development and implementation of strategic Pricing and Reimbursement plans and the development of supportive value documentation.

Scope of activity is Czech Republic. The tasks will be assignments across all Takeda portfolio, with primary focus on oncology.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and lead the evaluation, development, and implementation of pricing and reimbursement strategies and sound economic value for assigned products in the Czech Republic according to global and local strategy.
  • Manage post-launch pricing of key products, ensuring profit optimal decisions
  • Lead Health Technology Appraisal submissions with process and technical expertise
  • Collaborate in preparation of HE and Pharmacoeconomic studies
  • HEOR – take a leading role in assessing any Outcomes studies and the application thereof to the local market
  • Prepare Pricing & Reimbursement dossiers as well as budget impact models for portfolio products and maintain ongoing processes.
  • Establish close relationships with health economic opinion leaders and reimbursement and pricing agencies
  • Establish close relationships with key stakeholders
  • Provide support to the Marketing strategies of products by understanding the critical importance of both national (i.e. HTA) and local Market Access for business success
  • Following global and local strategy, advice in the initiation and the most effective and timely strategy to obtain Market Access for products in the context of optimising local, European and global revenues
  • Maintain / establish a Market Access advisory network including health economic and clinical opinions leaders, patient groups and policymakers
  • Provide strategic input to in-licensing decisions through the assessment of pricing and market access opportunities for a new candidate drug
  • Close cooperation with new product planning functions regarding future launches
  • Develop and maintain robust and personal relationships with key people in the Local, Regional and Global organization: Commercial Teams, Medical, Forecasting, Business Development and R&D Department.
  • Provide – in close co-operation with marketing colleagues – support and guidance to field force based activities, including production of materials support local commissioning of products
  • Responsible for overseeing the local adaptation of Global Market Access materials (e.g. value repositories, cost-effectiveness models, budget impact models)
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams within the company on all access or business relevant projects
  • Support Tender Management Projects and other PVA projects with legal expertise
  • Contribute to a continual improvement in Takeda pricing and market access working process.
  • Identify and assess environmental market trends and inform and advise about them
  • While developing pricing & reimbursement strategy, preparing MEA’s, drafting price negotiation scenarios to be communicated to the local Pricing & Reimbursement Authorities, always reach out for consultancy and final alignment to the Senior MEA/Pricing Manager or Line Manager directly.
  • Follows the instructions of the superior within an agreed scope of the work
  • Deliver CZ&SK LOC Commercial P&L goals, performance objectives, and financial KPIs
  • Responsible for ensuring local strategies are aligned with global strategies and Regional execution guidance.
  • Responsible for providing direction and decisions regarding overarching given portfolio strategy and cross-functional execution in the business unit.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with all internal contacts and external customers
  • Formulating and implementing effective and innovative marketing and sales strategies for Rare Disease products, while aligning these strategies with the Global brand
  • Assess and recommend opportunities for CZ & SK LOC lifecycle management of the franchise to optimise growth and competitive edge

    COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

    • University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Medical, or Pharmacy or Law
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience with pricing and reimbursement (in a pharmaceutical company, authority, payer, etc.)
    • Organizational awareness, including experience working cross-functionally with Sales and Marketing, medical etc.
    • Good understanding of healthcare delivery, reimbursement, and pricing system in the Czech Republic and European markets
    • Knowledge of the local legislative environment
    • Experience in communicating with healthcare decision-makers
    • Process and technical expertise in reimbursement processes
    • High level of strategic thinking around a product, initiative, drive, and commitment
    • Project management, execution skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong networks
    • High energy levels and demonstrated examples of being able to persuade colleagues to take key decisions without him/her having line authority
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, crucial for leading projects involving a lot of people in a cross-functional setting
    • Experience in effective leadership and cooperation in cross-country teams
    • Requires good knowledge of the functional area, business strategies, and the company’s goals.
    • Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and meet financial targets
    • Highly competent with PC (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems
    • Have strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Excellent English
