Senior Manager, Reimbursement, Access and Channel Marketing

Join Takeda as the Hematology Senior Manager, Reimbursement, Access and Channel Marketing, reporting into the Director, Reimbursement, Access and Channel Marketing Lead. This position is a part of US Hematology Marketing and is located in Cambridge, MA.

The Senior Manager of Reimbursement, Access and Channel  Marketing will work cross-functionally across the Brand marketing teams, US Managed Markets, Health Economics and Outcomes Research, and the Field Accounts teams to develop and execute programs and collateral that clearly communicates the value proposition of the brands to organized customers. This role is responsible for driving the Hemophilia portfolio through management of branded and unbranded initiatives demonstrating value and ensuring access for the patients we serve.

How you will contribute:

  • Facilitate appropriate promotion of the brands and services with organized customers   

  • Manage PRT initiatives (Materials, re-Approvals, and Updates to  Resources)

  • Lead and Develop tools/dashboards to measure success of contracting opportunities and access

  • Manage Advertising & Promotions (A&P) expense targets which may include budget management for the function including: budget phasing, tracking and ongoing oversight

  • Effectively collaborate and communicate with cross-functional partners such as managed markets, medical, regulatory, legal, sales, sales training and business insights to launch and pull-through marketing initiatives

  • Partner with sales and training to develop and execute customer content for national and regional sales meetings to support KAM team trainings

  • Manage the market research received for respective initiatives, analyze data for strategic decision making, and provide insights in support of and advancement of the Hematology portfolio within health systems and integrated delivery networks (IDNs) distribution partners, and health care providers

  • This individual is responsible for understanding our customer strategies, identifying gaps and suggesting programs that prioritize outcomes while aligning to brand strategic imperatives. We expect this individual to innovate, find and recommend solutions that will maximize the portfolio

  • With responsibilities spanning multiple brands, this role has line of sight across the entire HEM promotional mix and must seek solutions that can help guide product brand leads across the HEM franchise to address evolving market needs to ensure long-term leadership

  • This group also owns P&L responsibility for OBIZUR, RIXUBIS and FEIBA, requiring individual to ensure appropriate marketing collateral is available.

  • Must effectively and simply communicate promotional insights for non-technical audiences from dense data sets, leading thought around the metrics that matter

  • This role is highly collaborative and must also influence the broader HEM marketing team

  • Cultivating strong, trusting working relationships with PRT reviewers is a predictor of success for this role given the size and complexity of tactics taken through review

  • This role benefits from an inherent curiosity in how the rest of the marketing team is thinking through the aspects of their messages and promotions, and increasingly how the sales/account teams are using their enhanced resources

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred, but not required

  • 2+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry

  • 7+ years of related experience in marketing

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and a proven ability to advance and drive tactics in a matrix organization

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Demonstrated strong leadership, interpersonal skills and excellent communication across functions, organizational levels and cultures to help deliver business results

  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and execute

  • Ability to apply Competitive Intelligence learnings into Marketing Plans, develop and execute tactics to address competitive threats

  • Must be fluent in analyzing and deriving business insights from performance data with the ability to communicate findings to inform strategic insights

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required

  • Experience in marketing and marketing to strategic customers preferred (e.g., hospitals, specialty or retail pharmacies, wholesalers)

  • Experience in development and execution of promotional collateral with the ability to articulate the value and leverage internal and external “voice of the customer” to anticipate and identify product and/or program needs

  • This individual must be able to balance short-term judgment calls to manage time-sensitive situations, with appropriately escalating larger issues proactively to compliance and/or leadership

  • Be an enterprise thinker capable of bringing fresh perspectives and willing to experiment with new ways of thinking to increase the value we bring to our customers and patients

  • This individual must demonstrate independent judgment and decision-making while aligning with business and functional leaders 

  • This role independently evaluates performance metrics and directs multiple agencies to optimize execution

  • Up to 25% travel may be required to meet customer and business needs.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$133,000.00 - $209,000.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S.based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
