Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Global Subchapter Lead - Data Platforms to join our team. This leadership role will be pivotal in driving the strategic direction, resource allocation, talent development, and performance evaluation within the Data Platforms subchapter, ensuring alignment with our overall Data and Analytics goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Resource Allocation and Staffing:
- Coordinate with the Global Chapter Lead to identify and allocate resources effectively to projects and initiatives.
- Ensure optimal staffing levels across the subchapter to meet project demands and business needs.
- Collaborate with HR and recruitment teams to attract and acquire top talent in the data platforms space.
2. Subchapter Development:
- Develop and implement strategies for the growth and continuous improvement of the Data Platforms subchapter.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative environment that encourages the sharing of best practices and knowledge among team members.
- Lead the development and implementation of subchapter goals, objectives, and performance metrics.
3. Talent Development:
- Mentor and coach team members to develop their technical and professional skills.
- Create and maintain a culture of continuous learning through training programs, workshops, and other development opportunities.
- Identify and nurture high-potential employees, preparing them for future leadership roles within the organization.
4. Performance Evaluation:
- Establish and monitor performance metrics to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of the subchapter.
- Conduct regular performance reviews to provide constructive feedback and support employee growth.
- Implement performance improvement plans as needed to address any gaps or challenges.
5. Leadership:
- Provide strong leadership to the Data Platforms subchapter, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose.
- Act as a role model, demonstrating the values and behaviors that are expected within the organization.
- Represent the subchapter in cross-functional meetings, collaborating with other leaders to drive the overall data strategy.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in data platforms, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Technical Skills: Strong technical background in data architecture, data engineering, cloud platforms, big data technologies, and data governance.
- Global Exposure: Proven experience collaborating within complex, matrix-structured global organizations.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire a diverse team, with excellent communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute strategic plans that align with organizational goals.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving results and continuous improvement.
