PURPOSE OF JOB/POSITION
As Training Designer Specialist you'll be drive training activities such as developing comprehensive training materials, conduct training sessions, and facilitating multi-time zone working sessions. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth onboarding of new sites and maintaining system readiness.
Duties will include overseeing the application of training best practices to the assigned projects across the full training lifecycle, including for example, needs analysis, training materials design, development, delivery, evaluation feedback and continuous improvement.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Training Material Development: Create and update training materials to support software usage and system processes.
- Conducting Training: Lead training sessions to educate users on software functionalities and best practices.
- Enable Recurring Sessions: Drive recurring sessions to address user questions and provide ongoing support for software usage.
- Multi-Time zone Facilitation: Facilitate working sessions across multiple time zones to relay updates, gather feedback, and address site-specific topics.
- System Onboarding: Conduct onboarding sessions with new sites to ensure familiarity with the system and processes, facilitating MD build and general Go-Live readiness (e.g., sessions with Japan, Singen, LINZ, and another global locations).
- Change Management: Develop and approve change management content that supports training materials.
- Enhancement/Bug Tracking: Create, track, and resolve enhancement and bug tickets from the business side related to training findings.
- System Design Specification: Maintain and update system design specifications, including roles/permissions and new report specifications.
FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE, BUSINESS EXPERTISE, NATURE OF IMPACT, COMMUNICATION SKILLS, INNOVATION
- Proven experience in training material development and conducting training sessions.
- Strong facilitation skills, especially in multi-time zone environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with system onboarding and readiness processes.
- Knowledge of change management principles and practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with enhancement and bug tracking processes.
- Ability to maintain and update system design specifications.
- Proven experience working in a digital and global ecosystem.
- Experience with learning management systems like GLIMS or similar.
- Experience with Labware or Moda is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong experience enabling training across multiple products, projects and regions considering user needs and cultural differences.
EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
- Appropriate Bachelor’s in related specialization area (e.g., Training, IS, HR with L&D Specialization) is essential.
- 6 years of experience in an area of Training in an digital or tech function preferable
- Experience developing and delivering training across multiple platforms and formats
- Ability to develop training materials (text and design)
- Ability to work independently and part of a team
- Ability to work successfully in multi-cultural teams and to build strong relationship with key local and global stakeholders
- A strong executor, ability to implement deliverables in a timely and effective manner
- Excellent English language skills (C2 level desired)
- Experience in Training development and delivery for digital products and/or applications
- Solid tech skills and a quick learner of new project systems as well as design applications and tools
- Open to new ways of working and applying new methodologies
