We are currently hiring for a Medical Advisor HAE/Transplant (all genders) on a permanent contract for our Swiss local office in Glattpark (Opfikon).
ROLE OBJECTIVE
The Medical Advisor for Hereditary angioedema and Transplant plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between medical insights and business strategies. By leveraging their medical expertise, the Medical Advisor ac as a strategic partner for the cross-functional brand team and ensures that the medical strategies are in alignment with its business goals.
Through strategic planning and leadership, the Medical Advisor contributes to the development and execution of the Medical Strategy Plan and the Brand Plan, ensuring that all medical activities support the overall objectives of the business.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead the development and implementation of the Medical Strategy Plan and act as a key strategic partner for the cross-functional team in developing and executing the Brand Plan.
- Responsible for overseeing the execution of medical activities based on the strategic direction set by the broader Medical Strategy Plan.
- Works closely with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, regulatory, and market access teams, to ensure alignment of medical activities with business objectives.
- Review medical and promotional materials to ensure compliance with regulations and scientific accuracy, and provide support and expertise for external regulatory submissions and market access engagements.
- Manage KV71 requests efficiently and in compliance with guidelines.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key KOLs and stakeholders within the respective Therapeutic Area.
- Collaborate with KOLs, external partners, and organizations to drive evidence generation and key strategic initiatives.
Leadership
- Provide indirect leadership to the x-functional team, including the commercial, sales, and market access.
- Driving medical strategy plans and act as a strategic partner to ensure medical field and medical communication strategy is aligned with respective TA medical strategy
- Act as ambassador for compliance, ethics, and Takeda-ism
SKILLS and Capabilities
Critical Skills/competencies
- Completed studies in Pharmacy, Medicine, or a scientific field (preferably with a PhD)
- Native level of German or French (conversational German); very good conversational English
- Professional experience within pharma, preferable Medical Affairs or clinical research
- Preferable experience with development of medical plans and data gap analysis
- Experience working in a cross-functional and/or matrix environment
- High level of agility as well as teamwork skills and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
- A good understanding of clinical developments, clinical studies, and their interpretation
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Mindset of continuous improvement and innovation
Capabilities
- Healthcare Market Understanding: Understand disease and treatment landscape from a patient-centric and HCP-centric standpoint; stay updated on the latest advancements in the therapeutic area.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement strategic plans that align medical activities with business objectives.
- Leadership and Influence: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and engage with KOLs effectively.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of medical regulations, evidence generation, and market access requirements.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and meticulousness in handling regulatory documents and material reviews.
- Launch Excellence: Prepare the market for pipeline and launch products.
