Job Description
About the role:
Monitor inventory and logistics of intermediate product (paste / bulk/ BDS) / incoming material (DEAE lots) supporting production and various other departments on a daily basis.
How you will contribute:
Analyzes and coordinates inventory of intermediate product (paste / bulk/ BDS) / incoming material (DEAE lots) partnering with production planner to ensure sufficient material is available for production
Report out on Inventory overview.
Coordinates Logistics of interplant / intraplant movements including completion of documentation/forms for all domestic and international shipments.
Coordinates shipments readiness with cross functional team.
Communicates and coordinates financial reserves - inventory not yet released / delayed release (WIP/ PPQ).
Supports system accuracy to ensure correct ERP messages are delivered.
Ensures correct data are reflected in all WO.
Works with manufacturing specialist to ensure system depicts inventory accuracy.
Coordinates dispositioning with manufacturing as needed.
Participates in process improvement activities and Tier meetings.
Utilize JDE C3ME system for data queries and reporting tools available (JDE C3ME, QLIK, Power BI) to create straightforward reports and dashboards to enable business decisions.
What you bring to Takeda:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in science, engineering, business, operations, Supply Chain or another related technical field, and some related experience preferred
Knowledge of ERP systems and inventory transactions (JDE knowledge preferred)
Knowledge and understanding of some of the following systems PowerBI, RPA, Chatbots, JDE, SAP, LIMS, Electronic Batch Monitoring, Qlik-sense, Trackwise
Requires robust skills with Microsoft Office apps (Outlook email, Excel, World, PowerPoint).
Excellent attention to detail
Inherent interest in new digital tools and technologies, artificial intelligence, and data automation is required
Have a demonstrated passion for challenging the status quo and relentlessly trying to improve the operation
Clearly demonstrate structured, logical, critical, and analytical thinking.
Open to doing things differently
Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
Robust written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)
Must be able to work independently without direct supervision.
Desirable awareness and experience of Continuous Improvement methodologies (Lean Methodology, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
Expectation to work at Van Nuys site at least 4 (four) days per month.
Important Considerations
At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. In this role, you may:
May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and other clean room garments daily. This may include safety shoes, safety glasses, aprons, face shields, lab coats, full body gowns, hair nets and gloves and hearing protection.
Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.
Work in a cold, wet environment.
Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours, as necessary.
Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.
Exposure to warehousing and manufacturing areas at +5°C including storage freezer at –20°C and exposure to human blood plasma.
In general, the position requires a combination of sedentary work and walking around observing conditions in the facility.
Must be able to work on site.
May be required to visit some Clean Room and cool/hot storage conditions.

$56,000.00 - $88,000.00The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
