The Commercial Lead will focus on PDTs, playing an integral leadership role in the strategic and operational direction of the PDT sales for Takeda Belgium. This individual will be responsible for the development and implementation of brand and marketing plans for marketed products, pipeline products and end of lifecycle planning. This position reports into Business Operations.
Ensure PDT plans are developed, implemented and monitored in conjunction with relevant cross functional teams and aligned with the Global brand strategy and Regional execution guidance.
Responsible of Tender Management in line with attributed supply and MRP.
OBJECTIVES
Develop and implement short-, medium- and long-term business plans for the assigned brands of PDT in Belgium, to optimize profit, revenue, and market share opportunities in the short-, medium- and long-term.
Co-develop the strategic operational plan with the cross-functional team, drive the commercial & marketing strategy and tactics execution utilizing OCE and co-creation of initiatives, taking into consideration customer segments and profiles.
Build and manage strong relationships with key stakeholders within the Belgian IG environment to build our position in the selected disease areas.
Capability development of PDT team members.
TASKS
Business Strategy and Management
Lead the development and implementation of the Belgian PDT Business Plan including Omni-Channel Engagement Strategy.
Leads cross functional teams in brand planning to provide accurate and clear market and brand history, current environment, and future potential
Responsible for leading the development and execution of brand tactics, including conference and booth planning, industry meetings and sponsorships
Monitors and maintains brand promotional and annual budget
Closely monitor environmental changes and create local strategy plan.
Develop, prepare and execute assigned new indications launch strategies.
Identify actions to strengthen product positioning to maximize brand performance. Anticipate and capitalize on stakeholders’ market trends to create a competitive advantage.
Monitor on-going developments in the external health policy landscape and act as a sparring partner and source of information for internal functions.
Establish a financial plan, MRP & LRF based on units, revenue, patients and total portfolio overview.
Understand, develop and implement pricing & contract strategies (in close collaboration with Tender manager) within HCOs & buying groups, in line with attributed supply
Translate market developments to and manage monthly demand forecast to IG production planning.
Initiate and achieve the above through effective liaising, networking, and working relationships with the LOCs and other relevant stakeholders.

Promote and drive new Agile WoW.
Support KAM(s) in building and executing on OCE account plans
Prioritize and manage accounts within assigned territory by assessing appropriate business opportunities through contacts with key decision-makers and important local stakeholders.
Communication
Develop and maintain strong, effective, and constructive team relationships and KOL networks.
Ensure effective communication with all relevant internal and external key stakeholders.
Identify and raise relevant issues, and propose potential solutions, through the appropriate internal and external channels.
Achieve best-in-class customer focus with significant dedicated time for regular interactions with KOLs.
Implement OCE communication approaches to customers.
Risk Management and control
Support the Business Operations Head in managing the company’s risk profile including, (where appropriate), Code of Conduct and the Health and Safety performance of the business.
Utilize market insights to assess business risks and opportunities.
Proactively identify brand opportunities and issues that require further analysis and action to create new approaches or new market opportunities.
Operate in a manner that is always in line with compliance and legal requirements and according to the marketing and sales strategies.
PROFILE
Education
University degree in the field of commercial, healthcare or science
Required language skills
Fluent (written & spoken) in English, Dutch & French
Knowledge & Experience
A minimum of 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, of which ideally 3 years within the immunoglobulin business in Belgium
Strong experience and knowledge of brand and pharmaceutical marketing
Proven experience of implementing omni-channel marketing
Experience of building co-created initiatives with key health care stakeholders (i.e. KOLs) in order to find ‘win-win-win’
Demonstrated experience in strategic roles and leadership of cross-functional teams, processes, projects
Understanding of the Belgian health care environment
In-depth knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and codes for pharmaceutical industry in Belgium
Understanding the decision-making units and an ability to manage complex and dynamic work
