About the role:

The Head of Transformation & Portfolio is a critical leadership role in the Data, Digital & Technology, Oncology team and is responsible for building, acquiring and overseeing a portfolio of digital capabilities that contribute to Takeda Oncology’s performance, competitiveness and operational excellence. The DDT Transformation & Portfolio position does this by designing, building and managing a number of cross-functional capabilities around four functional verticals:

  • Digital Learning, Development, & Transformation

  • Budget Tracking and relationship with finance and Chief of Staff community

  • Portfolio Management (Investments & Strategic Programs)

  • Digital Operations (including managing events and leadership meetings)

  • Change Management & Communications for Data, Digital & Technology

This role will be part of Oncology Data, Digital and Technology Leadership team and will report directly into the Head of Data, Digital & Technology for Oncology Business Unit at Takeda.

How you will contribute:

  • Serves as a strategic thought partner, in a confidential capacity, with the Head of DDT, providing high-level executive support associated with complex problems, current and future initiatives, strategies, and budgets.

  • Develops clear understanding of DDT strategies and key priorities to provide operational leadership as member of the DDT leadership team.

  • Demonstrates collaborative leadership and influence necessary to ensure alignment among key stakeholders and seamless execution of DDT deliverables.

  • Works with the Global Oncology Business Operations Head, to coordinate DDT reporting and deliverables into the  Global OBU Leadership Team.

  • Works with Finance partners and OBU DDT leaders to ensure budget as well as business reviews are effectively planned and managed.

  • Builds and maintains mutually supportive relationships with all levels of management, staff, outside agencies and vendors, when necessary. Works to remove barriers that hamper inter- and intra-department communications. Coordinates and monitors. Assignments which must be accomplished in conjunction with other senior executives.

  • Partners closely with Head of DDT, DDT LT,  HR and communications leaders on matters related to organizational design, structure, culture initiatives, employee experience and organizational communications. 

  • Leads the Digital Learning & development of Oncology employees by championing educational campaigns introducing new digital, data & technology concepts and tools to employees.

  • Plays a lead role in the interface with corporate DDT functions and other Business Units at Takeda to develop strategic and long range plans supporting the assessment of market and industry trends ensuring that the leadership team is kept up to date with trends and potential risks / opportunities.

  • Leads DDT Leadership Team, Extended Leadership Team, DDT Councils including agenda, action planning, tracking deliverables and KPIs.

  • Creates a learning organization where employees continually expand their capacity to achieve desired results, where new patterns of thinking are nurtured, where collective aspiration is accomplished, and where employees are continually learning and challenging the status quo.

  • Builds and maintains a learning and continuous-development environment to ensure employee engagement and growth.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant business and technical experience required .

  • Experience in Business consultancy is preferred.

  • 8+ years’ management level experience in any combination of-

  • Learning & development Program Management (Ideally for data, digital or tech programs)Digital / Technology Operations Experience in digital technologies with conceptual understanding of architectural fundamentals.

  • Experience in Digital Customer Experience or Consumer experience, keen interest in emerging technology trends and curiosity to learn new tools.

  • Expertise in Agile Methodologies with concepts and practical experience of working in agile.

  • 5+ years of Senior Leadership Experience in Life Sciences Commercial, Digital or Technology which includes being part of a Senior Business or Technology Leadership team.

  • Accountability experience in building, running and supporting a business capability directly contributing to customer or patient outcomes (external facing).

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$169,400.00 - $266,200.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S.based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
