Innovation Capability Center
The Innovation Capability Center (ICC) is an organization focused on delivering innovative solutions to enable Takeda's data and digital transformation, building future skills in-house, and is an internal innovation muscle.
The ICC will design exciting and significant changes in technology, and employ more than 300 new technology professionals.
By unleashing the power of data and digital capabilities, in a collaborative global environment, the ICC will ensure that the needs of patients are met.
The first ICC was opened in Bratislava, Slovakia in late 2021, with a formal opening in April 2022. The second location was opened in Mexico City, Mexico, in May 2023, with plans to open a third location in Bangalore, India in 2024.

CLOUD AND CUSTOM DEVELOPMENT:
Empowers product teams to choose PaaS, IaaS or serverless techniques, based on their use case.
Global Chapter Lead Location: BratislavaDATA & ANALYTICS:
Enables each product team through access to data and data experts, as well as development through and integration of the data backbone

CYBER & DIGITAL TRUST:
Ensures protection against upcoming threats and compliance with regulatory requirements, incl. security validation.

INTELLIGENT WORKPLACE:
Enables automation of mundane tasks through various techniques (e.g. RPA, GenAI) and provides upskilling/ training platforms.

ERP:
Ensures >99% uptime for enterprise planning tools for the organization to run smoothly.

EXTERNAL EXPERIENCE:
Enables CRM tools (e.g. SalesForce) to be available on demand to anyone who needs it (e.g. sales, marketing or product managers).

FUNCTIONAL ANALYSIS:
Enables all chapters through fungible resources across data analysis, finance, HR etc.

QUALITY ASSURANCE:
Ensures quality is built into the development process through a rigorous focus on test automation.

ARCHITECTURE:
Enables technology leaders to make informed system architecture decisions for their teams and provides a roadmap for the organization’s IT strategy.

TRANSFORMATION ENABLEMENT:
Drives agile adoption and removes obstacles that contribute to cognitive load for teams (e.g., coordination).
