The Opportunity

As a SCOUT HANA Software Engineer, you'll you will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design, develop, and implement solutions using SAP ERP, HANA and the connected Application SCOUT. You will be building custom functionalities, integrating with external systems, and ensuring seamless data synchronization between SAP, HANA and SCOUT. Additionally, you will collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, troubleshoot issues, and deliver high-quality software solutions within project timelines. 

Responsibilities

• Implement functionalities that support the Revenue reporting, expense reporting and master data handling and governance for COGS calculation on HANA applications in the SCOUT platform. 
• Integrate HANA with external systems to ensure seamless data exchange and synchronization. Develop and maintain data integration workflows, APIs, and connectors to facilitate the flow of information between systems. 
• Customize and configure HANA applications, mainly SCOUT, to meet specific business requirements related to revenue reporting, expense reporting and COGS calculations. Develop custom objects, fields, workflows, and validation rules to support the desired functionalities. 
• Stay up to date with the latest features, updates, and best practices for Data and Reporting working / partnering. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts and stakeholders, to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs. Participate in design discussions, provide technical insights, and propose efficient and scalable solutions. 
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and system testing to identify and address any defects or issues. 
• Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues and production incidents related to SCOUT functionalities. Analyze root causes, propose and implement effective solutions to resolve issues promptly. 
• Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelines. Provide constructive feedback to peers and contribute to maintaining high code quality and maintainability. 
• Work collaboratively with team members, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related study, or equivalent experience 
• 6+ years of experience developing software (any object oriented programming language like Java, C#, etc.) with orientation towards SAP HANA.  
• Solid understanding of HANA platforms, including their functionalities, configurations, and customization options. 
• Hands-on experience with SAP ERP and HANA. 
• Experience in integrating systems and working with APIs to connect HANA (SCOUT) with other applications or external systems. 
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and actively participate in design discussions and code reviews. 
• Familiarity with software testing methodologies and tools to conduct unit testing, integration testing, and ensure software quality and reliability. 
• Ability to create technical documentation, including design specifications, user guides, and API documentation, to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain system documentation. 
• Solid oral and written communication skills, business acumen, and enterprise knowledge. 
• Ability to use English in both verbal and written communication.

Salary

As a motivated employee, you should be compensated appropriately. The minimum salary for this position is €3850 per month (full time), but your final remuneration package may be higher depending on your qualifications and experience.
